About Us | Our Vision
1.) It is our dream, hopefully one
day very soon, to have a much larger Living Foods Resource Center
here in Palm Beach County, where we would be able to expand the
services and programs we now offer . This Center will provide
several on-going Get Healthy!/ Stay Balanced classes weekly, food
preparation classes, and many of the resources and products needed
to support the Living Foods Lifestyle. We envision it as an
attractive and “lively” hub for community service and
education.
2.) We also have a special interest in helping to
serve those individuals and families who have been sadly impacted by
the growing “epidemic” of chronic emotional and mental illness,
particularly bipolar disorder. We hope one day to be able to create
Peter’s Place, a short-term residential lifestyle center for those
desiring to learn how they may heal their mental and emotional
problems without resorting to dangerous medications and periodic
institutionalizations. We at Wholly Alive!, and the folks
at Hallelujah Acres, have inspiring testimonies from people who have
recovered from such conditions, people who, before adopting a living
foods lifestyle, were given little or no hope of ever having
productive and illness-free lives. These people have beaten the odds
and transformed their lives. It can be done. We’ve seen
it!
The motivating force behind this desire was a family
tragedy we experienced in March of 2005. Anita’s 39 year-old son,
Peter Miller, took his own life after years of terrible suffering
through the agonies of bipolar disorder and subsequent substance
abuse. It’s a tragic story, as he, like many others with this
disorder, was extremely intelligent and gifted. In his early
twenties he had graduated with honors at the top of his class from
Bernard Baruch University in New York City, and looked forward to a
future that held so much promise. Instead, he fell victim to his
illness and a “System” that failed him.
I remember
Peter as a terrific, bright, and wonderful boy. It was always a
treat to talk to him, and have a laugh together. He had a charm ans
sensitivity that I will always treasure and cherish. His smile and
the knowing twinkle in his eye, clearly evidenced an unusually
gifted child. What happened and what went wrong is really not of
concern at this time. What is, however, was that Peter loved and
respected his parents, teased his little sister Liz mercilessly, yet
loved her enormously, but in his heart and soul was a true and rare
jewel. He will never be forgotten by me, and will always be the
young handsome, smart, charming fella I knew.... Stuart
S.
An over-burdened and ineffective system - mental
health, law enforcement, and the medical establishment - failed
Peter miserably, as well as it does the countless other unfortunate
victims of mental illness, most of whom barely survive it's
revolving door.
We believe, as does George Malkmus, the
founder of Hallelujah Acres, that there is a better way to help
people avoid sickness and disease, including those who suffer from
mental illness. We personally know of others who "climbed out" of
the system and got well on the Hallelujah Diet & Lifestyle. H.
Acres has tens of thousands of testimonies from real people, with
photos and names, who have healed from other serious and
life-threatening conditions. Famous people, like Jerrod Sessler,
NASCAR racer, and Dr. Lorraine Day, Hospital Chief of Orthopedic
Surgery, and many others have healed from “terminal” cancer, and
continue to sing the praises of the living foods
lifestyle.
We have created the Peter Lawrence Miller Memorial
Fund for the
purpose of fulfilling our vision to create Peter’s Place.
If
you would like to donate to either of our “projects”, your
generosity will be so much appreciated by us, and all those whose
lives we hope to positively affect!

and donate to Peter's memorial fund, please email us at whollyalive@bellsouth.net.
And may God richly bless you if He has put it on your heart to do
so! |
